Natural.

My dear! Enwrapped around,
Senses displayed—I had thought the reality,
The drought and rings of nymphs,
And I, and I so foolishly pestered,
Thatched by those dead, those pranced,
At the sight of the endless bloom,
And I have remained in my quiet room.

Dear, dear! I do not want to disturb the strangers,
And such a path considered, a stranger of all things!
Oh, do not think of such things, remember?
Will I endure the chance?
The last bred flower had died; excuses, of course.
And then I settle down prematurely to rest,
Arms lapped over my chest.

I’ve led the incant, and the led and light surmise!
Then for here there’ll be what we saw best,
The hours that beget emotion, and more time I will forget,
What I saw worst and best, piled on a frown of regret,
Never again, and I’ll assume the last, the last,
And before I know it, grim would say,
“And here am I presented best,
For I am the one and only death!”

Time wasted into much regret (oh, what I did not decide or say, and choose!),
And now I should remember to be unminding,
For sure then I would not dwell on such things.

I had tidied up, and my fingers knelt before,
Blurred with roughness; they’ve been spurned,
And I’ve knelt and laid down.
Dear, dear, oh, such things, the Sweet Birch,
Appealing, and then the White spruce plant, too;
Nature had lived there, and did not solicit care,
Then, my eyes turn forward, durst the mute noise,
At the sight of the endless bloom,
And I have remained in my quiet room.

This one is SO pretty! I love the references to flowers and to the closed off walls of a room. This piece really spoke to me and reminded me of spring and the luscious essence of flowers with a darker tone underneath. I love it! 🙂

Thank you for your feedback! I compare to nature a lot, so the thought hadn’t really occurred to me of this having spring undertones. Ironically, I recently wrote a poem about spring (somewhat) that’s going to be put up today. Lol.
On the other hand, maybe I’m subconsciously putting in spring details and not noticing them in my other poems! Who knows? Lol.
Anyway, thank you so much, and I’m happy you enjoyed reading this.

You’re welcome! Haha! I do that sometimes as well, like in the Winter months I’ll incorporate the cold or snow into my pieces and then later be like wow that matches the season so well without even noticing what I did xD
And yay! I’m excited to read it! 🙂
