a sea dying.

deepens / the eye / and

mawkish suckle

the moon’s breast

to the tree and

their leaf white fingers

dead / to broken bone

and dust to a fitful

dreaming / oxbow

shores I leave

like the foot

of a spore / and a sea

finds me alone.

  5. Ah, Lucy, this is another splendid poem. It speaks to the sea in my heart. Your words are beautiful waves. I can feel their softness. I can feel their sadness.

  8. Thank you for liking my lil poem from before. I hope you also enjoyed the little song-request I performed at the bottom. I’ve always found music and poetry have gone hand-in-paw (one may be more ferocious/gripping). These are fantastic words and sounds you’ve written, I look forward to reading more!
