Written by Andrada Costoiu (chapter two) and B.V. Stratton (chapter three), this joint chapter delves a little into the sibling's past but questions still arise. Resigning himself to trust his "newfound" sister, they make a break to the other side of the island as a last minute escape (as Tom blew their original plan). Lauren [...]
The following information below are profiles about the main characters in the ongoing novel collaboration, "Identify." I put out a notice about wanting to create a small group of writers who can help finish this story with me. I am hoping this could gather interest for those who want to participate in this collaboration. I [...]
Lauren let out a grunt into the dark cave, legs locking onto Artemis’s; her strength collapsed into the mutant who inhabited her space closely, soon fallen to the death of tenebrous nightfall.
Lauren grit her teeth, trying to ignore Artemis. Of catastrophic darkness, she could see eyes watching her in motion. She sank into internal refuge as the shadows held the branches above them.
“If you thought any of it was real after all, I’m sorry to take that away from you.”
Check out the completed drawing Au did for one of the main characters of my ongoing novel collaboration, “Identify.” It’s very well done and I would as well recommend giving their site a look.
The drawing depicts the opening scene from chapter one:
Tom splashed the water onto his face, searching for respite in the cool air. His teeth chattered in the breeze, and he was withholding tears from his eyes as the wind progressed faster onto his pale skin. He was naked. The circular white edges of sand trapped themselves onto his feet as he crawled. Tom stirred out of memory how he washed ashore, resigning it as a lost cause.
Overcast, the wisps of wind crashed through heavily, and momentarily, he felt warmth, a possessed warmth draping over like a blanket. He closed his eyes, chose a spot in partial darkness and lied down; eyes frosted over, he was still until he felt his body lifted from the edge of the isthmus.
If you’re interested in jumping in on the novel collaboration, I am still on the lookout for more participants to be involved. Please feel free to reach out to me via my contact page if you would like to do so. If you’re not caught up on the story, need a little reminder, or want to look at character motives and background, you can refer to the character psychological profiles. I look forward to working with you!
And Au is back, one more time.
I wont bore you with illnesses, apathy, headaches, and such things, only because Im doing early morning bird supply duty in a few minutes!

“And what else after? Some cinnamon pie? A nice Moscow mule? We can’t have those luxuries here so I don’t owe you shit except survival.”
Amazing artwork by AuAu. The latter two images are depictions of Tom and Lauren from “Identify” an ongoing collaborative novel I am running. You can view the character profiles here if you would like to be more familiar with the main characters (and the story) and catch up on the rest of the chapters here.
Please do check out AuAu’s website and further work. They have such great talent!
Work, work, work… ahg, it kills my good mood and eats my time.
I should be glad I even have it though, I dont know how it has lasted for so long, maybe its my looks. Yesterday I wrote a big analysis of my teaching work, it was a good read, but too negative so I erased it today.
They all have their projects they want to do, they struggle with the technical part, so they call me. They start well, they get excited, its finally gonna happen… until they realize that they have to study, and they have to work, and that they have to invest to some degree. Then they slowly clinch to the hope that it will be done somehow, yet it wont.
Bottom line, they dont believe in themselves, time to go back being a sheep of media.

Surreptitiously, she plucked them away and stashed them into her tiny fur bag bemoaning how she missed her Mom. Next time she won’t come along without her Mom. Not for all the tea in China! She wished her Dad had the nous to bring Mom along. “Come on, Dad!” She exhorted in the manner of a raving loon. Tom couldn’t help but smile only. As they arrived at the threshold, Clarence inadvertently hit a bump and stumbled headlong.
The cave pooled on a dusty gray, its lifeless folds quietly shone, hinging to the cold darkness in the air. Intervened, footfall was prevalent and darning; she gripped onto her spear as she extended it away from her person, head merging against an animal’s snout.

She hated them, but quite at times admired them for their will to live. The bond between them only got stronger and stronger the more adversities they faced together. Only Zara was able to flicker that bond for a few moments, that fucking siblings-bond.

Since the novel collaboration I have been hosting has died down a little, I figured it might be easier for potential participants to just sign up through a form, and when it's their turn for the chapter they choose to write, I will let them know. We are currently looking for a participant to pen [...]
Down, down, down the riverside. The air went dead. I suspended above the ivy waves in silence, entering into the belly indigo. Water had now been a cold darkness and I was trying to part myself from the waves above—that only seemed to inundate me further. I uttered few words I could remember or understand. [...]
She lowered her head into her hands. Her thoughts soon drifted back to Tom; what he had been through these past few days, how he killed Zargaff. She now understood how callous she had been after he just took a life, and not even that, he watched Zara die. Her breath hitched when she stared back at Artemis. She had been too impassive. Now she thought she understood. “Lauren?” Lauren felt heavy breathing against her neck, the tired limbs of Artemis lain at her sides.
Lauren set up a fire at the site, grabbing a couple of more logs to throw in. Tom watched at a distance as he kept looking back at the camouflaged tents in the woodlands of the island, and biting his lip, he watched as the smoke tilted into the sky as a signal. She caught up to him. “Let’s get the fuck out of here. I set it up, and we can leave.”
She grappled his face. “You don’t get to say shit like that. Not after this fucked off day. You can go fuck off too if you keep saying that.” “I’ve never seen you so sentimental.” “It’s not like you’d remember,” Lauren sighed, only now feeling how sweated up her tank-top had become. “Ouch. Low blow.”
Image from here. As some may have noticed, there's been a brief hiatus in the current novel collaboration. That does not mean it is over. Far from it, in fact. Chapter seven is now up to be claimed again, with chapter eight currently reserved. Who wants to write chapter seven? Remember, it’s first come, first [...]
